SkillRise (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our Platform.

 * Account Data: Name, email address, password, phone number.

 * Course Data: Courses enrolled in, quizzes taken, completion status, time spent watching videos.

 * Payment Data: Credit card info (processed via third-party gateways like Stripe/PayPal; we do not store full card numbers).

3. How We Use Your Information

 * To provide and administer the Services.

 * To process payments and issue certificates.

 * To send administrative information (updates, security alerts).

4. Sharing of Information (Crucial Section)

A. For All Users

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. We share data only with:

 * Service Providers: Hosting services, email providers, and payment processors who help us run the app.

 * Legal Requirements: If required by a subpoena or court order.

B. SPECIFIC NOTICE FOR SPONSORED STUDENTS

If your access to SkillRise is funded, paid for, or subsidized by a third party (a “Sponsor,” such as your employer, a university, an NGO, or a government agency), you acknowledge and agree that:

 * Reporting: We may share your personal details, course progress, attendance records, quiz scores, and certificate status with the Sponsor.

 * Purpose: This sharing is necessary for the Sponsor to evaluate the success of their scholarship/funding program.

 * Consent: By accepting the sponsored seat, you consent to this data sharing. If you do not wish for your data to be shared, you must opt out of the Sponsorship program and pay for the course independently.

5. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable security measures (encryption, secure servers) to protect your data. However, no online transmission is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

 * Access the data we hold about you.

 * Request correction of incorrect data.

 * Request deletion of your data (subject to data retention for tax/legal purposes).
